Get started with Reconcile Sheets

Installation, reconciliation, privacy controls, and troubleshooting.

Prepare your spreadsheet

  1. Place the first export in one sheet and the second export in another sheet in the same spreadsheet.
  2. Keep one header row at the top of each table.
  3. Confirm that each table has one key column, such as an order ID.
  4. Use no more than 10,000 data rows per table. The early-access version also limits table width and total processed cells.

Run a reconciliation

  1. Open the spreadsheet and choose Extensions → Reconcile Sheets → Open Reconcile Sheets.
  2. Select the source and destination sheets.
  3. Select the key column for each table.
  4. Choose whether to receive approximate-match suggestions.
  5. Select Run reconciliation.
  6. Review every result and approve or reject every suggestion.
  7. Select Create report to create a separate result sheet.

Understanding results

  • Reconciled: keys and compared values match, or an approximate key match was approved with no compared-field difference.
  • Divergent: the associated records have different compared values.
  • Missing in source/destination: a key exists on only one side.
  • Duplicate: a normalized key occurs more than once in at least one table.
  • Ambiguous: more than one candidate is similarly close.
  • Rejected match: an approximate suggestion was rejected.

Run history

Open Run history and privacy at the bottom of the sidebar to view compact metadata for recent runs or clear it from the spreadsheet. Deleting result sheets is a separate spreadsheet action.

Troubleshooting

The sheet list is out of date

Select Refresh sheets. Your selected tables are preserved when possible.

Permission denied

Confirm that the active Google account has edit access to the spreadsheet and authorized Reconcile Sheets. Multiple signed-in Google accounts can cause session conflicts; retry in a dedicated browser profile with only the intended account.

The report was not created

Read the message shown in the sidebar. If the source tables changed after preview, run the reconciliation again so your decisions apply to the data currently in the spreadsheet.

Contact support

Email support@ninetysixsystems.com with a description of the problem, the approximate row-count band, and the step that failed. Do not attach customer data, credentials, OAuth tokens, or an unredacted production spreadsheet.
